World Book Day

World Book Day created a flurry of costume creations. The Nursery was filled with tiny pirates, whimsical fairies, princesses, witches and miniature superheroes, all from the pages of well-known stories and favourite books.

During the day there was a special assembly, led by Sally Cox, our Headteacher, where she shared all her favourite childhood books, followed by a playground parade of costumes.  Sally read to the children from her books in our beautiful library during the morning too.  In the afternoon, a teacher created a book trail through the school grounds that Nursery took part in. The Nursery class teacher planned book themed activities which all fostered an appreciation of books and reading.
